GoodMood Prints
I set up a company with two others with the aim to help emerging artists sell prints with ease and provide a place where customers can go to find unique, good quality art for their walls. I am a director of the company and built the whole thing from scratch myself. We work together on it in our spare time, we have a good balance of skills, the other two being design and business therefore have very low costs so we can afford to let it run in the background. Technologies used: React (TS), Node (TS), Graphql, Shopify API, Firebase, Netlify.

Feedr
During my time at Feedr, I held various roles including Lead Software Engineer, where post-acquisition by EatFirst, I played a pivotal role in a small team of three engineers, focusing on expanding the product footprint internationally and preparing the software for white-labeling, particularly in Europe and Australia. This involved launching operations in the Netherlands and Germany, reconfiguring the site for scalability, and implementing features to accept orders in multiple currencies, time zones, and languages.
Prior to this, as Lead Software Engineer, I led a team of two in introducing new tools and technologies, such as a Rust-based service for automating menu planning and transitioning to a new mail provider, resulting in significant time savings and improved efficiency. As a Senior Software Engineer, I was responsible for client-facing aspects of the website and app, where I spearheaded the creation of a new "availabilities" service, boosting daily order placement and enhancing the app ordering experience through innovative features and promotions, ultimately driving increased user engagement and usage uptake.

Starting at Publicis Sapient in 2018, I joined the RBS account. As a team of four developers, we built a POC, in a series of 6 2-week sprints, for a new ‘Credit Wallet’ app for NatWest. We built a PWA using React.js, Redux and Styled Components. We used storybook to create a library of components which the app could then consume and use where needed.
I then moved to the Nissan account where I have been working on the configurator team; the “build your own car” part to the website. The project involves converting years of legacy code, originally written in Backbone.js, to Vue.js, to improve performance. We are using Vuex for the store management and Jest for testing. During the migration, we have also taken the chance to enhance the APIs. I have led the development of a series of pages and features and am the longest standing developer on the team. I have also presented our achievements to the rest of the technology department, about 100 people.

Luckington Farm
I developed an e-commerce site for a regenerative farming enterprise, utilising React as the framework and Shopify's API to handle the products and checkout and deploying it through Netlify.

I developed a website for a vodka company using the Shopify platform. I created custom pages using Liquid, Shopify's templating language, which I self-taught for this purpose. Utilising the Shopify framework, I built adaptable and reusable 'sections' based on the client's designs. These bespoke sections were integrated into the Shopify interface, allowing the client to place them wherever needed on the site.
